Accuracy in Archery Shooting is linked to the Amplitude of the ERP N1 to the Snap of Clicker

An archer requires a well-balanced and highly reproducible release of the bowstring to attain high scores in competition. Recurve archers use mechanical device called “clicker” check draw length. The fall clicker that generates an auditory stimulus should evoke response brain. purpose this study is evaluate event-related potentials during archery shooting as clicker. Fifteen high-level participated. electro cap was placed on archers’ scalps, continuous EEG activity recorded (digitized at 1000 Hz) stored for off-line analysis. data were epoched beginning 200 ms before lasting 800 after marker signals. operational definition has been developed classifying hits corresponding hit and/or miss areas. area enlarged gradually starting from centre target (yellow: 10) blue (6 score) by creating ten indexes. It found snap evokes N1–P2 components long-latency evoked brain potentials. N1 amplitudes are significantly higher than areas 2nd 4th indexes with 95% confidence intervals 90% 1st 3rd intervals.
